Levels of competitive play are defined as follows:
 
Tier 1- Teams will play TCSL Regional. This level requires the highest level of time and financial commitment with out of state travel for tournaments. Teams are formed based on tryouts, body of work from prior season, and commitment/ attendance. A high level of commitment is expected for this team. Playing time will vary. For this level, licensed coaches are required, typically a paid coach..*

Tier 2- Teams will play TCSL State in the Spring/Summer season. This level requires an above average time and financial commitment with regional travel for tournaments. Teams are formed based on tryouts, body of work from prior season, and commitment/ attendance. A high level of commitment is encouraged for this team. Playing time will vary. For this level, a paid coach is preferred.*

Tier 3- Teams will play TCSL Cities in the Spring/Summer season. This level requires an average time and financial commitment with local travel for tournaments. Teams are formed based on tryouts, body of work from prior season, and commitment/ attendance. A high level of commitment is encouraged for this team. Playing time is typically more equal at this level. For this level, teams generally have a volunteer coach. Paid coaches are used only when no volunteers are available.*
 
NOTE: Paid coaches are part of the team fees vs. club fees.
